Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience across various medical specialties. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the needs of patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional care in a supportive environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to guide clinical decisions. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, as necessary. Provide acute pain management and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and families on health management, preventive care, and treatment options. Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Manage patients in various settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and inpatient facilities. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with relevant certifications. Strong clinical skills in areas such as internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or emergency medicine. Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with specialized cardiovascular treatments is required. Further familiarity with aesthetic treatments such as botulinum toxin treatment, esthetic laser treatment, dermal fillers would be an added bonus but not required. Critical care experience or experience working in Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous but not required Knowledge of behavioral health practices and pain management techniques is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children and seniors.
