About this Opportunity

Seeking a Medical Director to lead its growing team of medical oncologists/hematologists and advanced practice providers

The Medical Director will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of the group and medical oncology program.

In collaboration with the cancer program senior leadership team, the Medical Director will lead efforts to increase integration and alignment of medical oncology services across all facilities.

More specific responsibilities include:

- Lead recruitment, retention, mentorship, quality, and growth management for physicians and APP - Represent medical oncology services across the system, both inpatient and outpatient, to other physician groups and to executive leadership of facilities and service lines - Be a major contributor to strategic initiatives for medical oncology - Act as the public face for general marketing, public events, and physician-group relations - Head efforts to integrate, align, and standardize operations - Lead quality and safety program for medical oncology - Ensure physician presence in all medical oncology leadership meetings, clinical decision making - Participate in the development of policies, procedures, continuing education programs, and training of providers and staff - Participate in budget planning and prioritization - In addition to administrative duties, the Medical Director is expected to practice at least 3 days per week in clinic initially

Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Candidates must be board-certified in medical oncology

Minimum of 7 years clinical experience

Previous leadership experience

Tennessee Medical License-eligible
