Hardware Designer 1 – Apex Systems
Location: Fremont, CA (onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Approx 2 year contract – starting ASAP
Pay: $50–58/hr – weekly pay on W2
Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned mechanical designer with proven excellence in electromechanical design, a strong passion for innovation via CAD, and a natural curiosity to push the boundary in the forefront of digital transformation.
Responsibilities
Originate and design mechanical parts and subassemblies and create layouts to support product design and technology development.
Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance performance while reducing cost.
Participate in cross‑functional teams with product engineering, program management, manufacturing, field service, and supply chain to define specifications and complete the full design cycle.
Create production drawings, develop precise CAD assemblies, and conduct design reviews in support of design efforts.
Perform build‑verifies in the lab and conduct hands‑on feasibility experiments.
Required Skills
Electro‑Mechanical design experience.
CAD software – NX skills – working with large assemblies.
Associate Degree or higher in engineering‑related field – or 15+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
Soft requirement: Cable routing in NX.
Technical problem‑solving skills.
