We are looking for a
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As an advanced practice practitioner, you?ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of a NP/PA includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients? health. You?ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. The NP/PA position provides education and care to patients in the focus area of Endocrinology. Position is for outpatient/in-office work only ? no hospital work. Our 3-provider dynamic team, with office in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, is looking for the ideal candidate to join the team. We offer the full support of a strong administrative and clinical staff. We work as a close-knit team with 100% Physician supervision. Innovative office performing in-office thyroid procedures such as ultrasounds, FNA, radiofrequency ablation of the thyroid as well as Diabetes care and a weight management clinic. Position is for part-time during training with a ramp-up to full-time position with benefits. Parking is included with this position. Responsibilities Examine patients and their medical records Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.) Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention Oversee patients? overall health Promote good health practices Advance professional knowledge and conduct research Skills Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting Expertise in primary care, acute care and/or chronic care practices Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Patience and cool-headedness Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience Valid NP/PA license Bilingual in Spanish is Preferred COVID-19 Precaution(s): Personal protective equipment provided or required Temperature screenings Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place EMR Used: AthenaHealth Employer type: Clinic Relocation Assistance Provided: No Typical end time: 4PM Typical start time: 8AM Work Remotely No Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Ability to Commute: Houston, TX 77030 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Houston, TX 77030: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
