Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant ? Locum Opportunity - OR only

Mt. Pleasant, SC Royal Surgical Associates is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a respected cardiothoracic surgery team at a hospital neat Mt. Pleasant, SC. They are seeking OR coverage only. This contract is ideal for advanced practice providers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with high-volume caseloads, including first-assisting and endoscopic vein harvesting. Job Highlights: Join a top-tier cardiothoracic surgery program Work within established and well-supported surgical teams Provide OR Coverage Contract Details: December 2025 Coverage only - 1 month Full-time schedule Mon-Fri Shared call 1:3 Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay up to $150/hour, commensurate with experience 1099 contract structure for increased take-home pay All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided Streamlined credentialing and onboarding process Key Responsibilities: First-assist in high-volume cardiothoracic surgeries Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, and hospital staff Candidate Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery Strong first-assist skills and proficiency with EVH NCCPA certification with active South Carolina licensure About Royal Surgical Associates: Royal Surgical Associates is a provider-led locum tenens firm specializing in cardiothoracic surgery and CRNA staffing.
