Physician Assistant Position Available! Our busy urgent care located in Staten Island is looking for a qualified Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate is comfortable seeing patients of all age groups, is able to multi-task and works well under pressure. Our staff is all experienced in Emergency Medicine and provides a wide range of urgent care services. Our center is UCAOA Accredited, open 7 days a week and offer X-Ray, EKG and point of care lab testing on site. JOB DESCRIPTION: Ensure proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of minor illnesses and injuries Evaluation and treatment of the occupational medicine patient Assessment and treatment of the pediatric patient with minor illnesses Follow basic clinical care standards and practice evidence-based medicine Orthopedic injury management Complete chart documentation using an EMR Prescribe medications Consult with the physician on call in the event of complex medical cases and when patients may need referral to a specialist or the emergency department Requirements: Licensed to practice in NY Multiple years experience in urgent care or emergency medicine EKG and X-ray reading ability Suturing, splinting, I&D and other procedural skills Comfortable with the evaluation and management of all age groups Excellent bedside manner, customer satisfaction skills and solid clinical judgment BLS/ACLS/PALS certified Benefit Conditions: Only full-time employees eligible Stable -- traditional, stable, strong processes EMR Used Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends required Locations: Candidate will be required to work at our 3 locations in Staten Island: Bulls Head, Tottenville, and Eltingville.
