Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant, 3 to 6 days a week, half or full day, to join our dynamic healthcare team with family care, pain management and orthopedic follow ups at our Orange, Downey, or Pomona location . The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical care across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and emergency medicine.
Duties
As a Physician Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments
Performing diagnostic evaluations and interpreting medical imaging
Administering medications and injections as needed
Assisting in surgical procedures and providing post-operative care
Managing acute pain and developing pain management plans
Triage patients effectively in emergency and urgent care settings
Utilizing EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks for patient documentation
Participating in clinical research and trials to enhance patient outcomes
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, critical care, and primary care settings
Educating patients on health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing practices
Experience in critical care, ICU, or Level I/II trauma center environments
Familiarity with various medical specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, airway management, phlebotomy, and basic life support protocols
Experience with telehealth services and remote patient monitoring systems
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and infection control practices
Ability to manage data collection and maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA standards
