Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner-General and Interventional Radiology

Colorado Springs Radiologists, PC, Colorado Springs' preeminent radiology group, has an exciting growth opportunity for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to assist the general and interventional radiologist team in our busy, hospital-based practice. No previous radiology experience required!

Enjoy the ability to learn new procedural and clinical skills while maintaining work/life balance with no nights, weekends, or holiday coverage required!

Shift:

Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Qualifications:

Job-Specific:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Current PA or NP with valid certification

Current CO license

DEA registration

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

Advanced Cardiopulmonary and Life Support (ACLS) certification

Registered Co Fluoro Operation preferred, but not required upon hire; must obtain within 1 year of hire

2 years of experience in Radiology preferred, but not required

General:

Demonstrate solid critical thinking

Be detail-oriented and organized

Have a deep commitment to compassionate patient care

Enjoy and have the ability to use/understand complex technology

Possess the ability to work independently

Duties:

Perform minor radiology procedures including, but not limited to

Paracentesis/Thoracentesis

Biopsy/fine needle aspiration

Joint aspiration and injection

Abscess/fluid aspiration and drainage

Lumbar puncture

Intravenous access and removal, including central lines, midlines, PICCs

Provide pre-procedure consultation/E&M obtain pre-procedure H&P

Provide post-procedure evaluation

Prescribe medications, as appropriate per scope of practice

Provide patient and family education

Document assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up care in the patient record

Assist radiologists and hospital staff with patient throughput
