office hours are Mondays through Thursdays with Fridays off. Our Company: South Charlotte Rheumatology is an independent rheumatology practice led by Firas Kassab, MD. The practice mission is to deliver excellent, compassionate, and timely care to improve the health and quality of lives of patients with rheumatologic illnesses in the region. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: Completed formal postgraduate education for NP or PA from an accredited program License to practice in the state of North Carolina (preferred) Previous clinical experience in the field of Rheumatology Willingness to learn and adapt to different or new practice styles Ability to deliver compassionate care for patients with chronic rheumatic conditions Proficiency in EMR systems (such as Epic and NextGen) Experience with medical documentation, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients with different backgrounds and education levels Ability to work well in a small team environment Duties: Include but not limited to: Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat rheumatic conditions. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations. Prescribe medications, and administer injections and IV infusions as necessary. Perform procedures such as joint aspirations and injections. Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
