Overview
Oversees all aspects of manufacturing operations within the assigned facility including safety, production management, financial reporting, team leadership, quality control, resource procurement, and communication. Leads the team to prioritize quality control, enforce standards, and address deficiencies promptly. Manages resources and plans for long-term facility improvements. Supports business development initiatives and fosters a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance: Attend and participate in safety training, enforce company safety standards, implement and oversee safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance related to safety and environmental requirements.
Production Management: Set and meet production goals; oversee the manufacturing process for efficiency and productivity; manage production budgets and schedules to complete projects on time and within budget.
Team Management and Development: Recruit, train, direct, coordinate the facility team; supervise multiple projects; foster morale and development of a positive, collaborative environment.
Quality Control and Assurance: Direct and enforce the Quality Control Program; document and address deficiencies; review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
Resource Procurement and Management: Procure materials, tools, and facility services; understand capabilities and maintenance needs of CNC and related systems; develop and execute a Capital Improvements Plan.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and financial reviews; facilitate meetings and plant visits; support business development as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience (preferred, not required).
Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or plan to achieve within six months of hire; maintain active status.
Extensive supervisory experience (at least 5 years).
Experience leading teams, resolving conflicts, delegating tasks, and driving results through effective communication and motivation.
Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications); prior foreman, journeyman, or project engineer experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Smartsheets, and familiarity with ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation.
