GTSSW is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our client in the McLean, VA area. Responsibilities: Act as a technical expert on one or more applications used by the client. Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure designs meet functional requirements. Partner with Infrastructure teams to deploy optimal hosting environments. Tune application performance to resolve issues. Research and evaluate technical solutions aligned with client standards. Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risks. Contribute to designing components, participating in construction, and testing. Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support teams. Create applications and unit test cases to ensure compliance with requirements. Work with peers to improve workflows, continuous integration, and delivery processes. Qualifications: At least 4 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Experience in front-end and/or back-end application development. Proficiency with Java (J2EE, J2SE), Spring, CSS, Angular and/or React, Postgres, Oracle DBs, AWS services, and Unix. Experience with tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Jira, Maven, Jenkins. Knowledge of Distributed Ledger Technology is preferred. Python scripting skills and AWS certifications are a plus. Understanding of various software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban). Promotes honesty and transparency in the culture. Keeps current with developments in their area and seeks learning opportunities. Mentors others and builds collaborative teams. Communicates openly and effectively.
