We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum or locum-to-perm services in an Occupational Medicine clinic setting in Templeton, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP with occupational medicine or urgent care experience looking for consistent weekday coverage with potential for ongoing placement.

Job Details:

Specialty: Occupational Medicine

Setting: Outpatient Clinic Occupational Health

Schedule:

Day shifts (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)

Monday through Friday

No call required

Contract Length: Initial 3-month commitment with potential extension or permanent placement

Patient Population: Occupational medicine patients (employee health, workplace injuries, preventive care)

Team Support: Collaborative environment with clinic staff and Medical Director

Charting Software: EMR system (training provided)

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and treat occupational medicine patients in accordance with clinic standards

Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, and reading wet read x-rays

Document and complete medical records prior to end of shift

Collaborate with Medical Director to ensure compliance with medical and professional standards of care

Provide guidance to other medical personnel in absence of Medical Director

Maintain compliance with state practice acts and workers compensation regulations

Communicate with client representatives regarding employee treatment and status updates

Foster a collaborative, professional environment focused on patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program

Active California license (required)

Board Certification in Occupational Medicine (preferred)

Certifications: BLS and AED required; ACLS preferred; NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) required

DEA license required

Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine (preferred; new grads welcome to apply)

Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment
