Financial Controller – Gulf Wind Technology
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial, accounting, and banking activities within our organization. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with our business objectives, and provides key financial insights to support growth.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Monitor financial performance; provide variance analysis and improvement recommendations
Ensure compliance with all tax, legal, and regulatory requirements
Manage internal controls and implement processes to improve financial accuracy and efficiency
Manage manufacturing accounting processes: cost accounting, bill of materials analysis, inventory valuation, tracking, and reconciliation
Provide financial oversight for supply chain operations, including vendor cost analysis and procurement budgeting
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely deliverables
Manage payroll, 401(k), and benefits systems with external partners
Oversee company credit cards
Manage insurance compliance, risk assessment, policy renewals, and claims coordination
Administer employee benefits programs in compliance with regulations
Provide financial insights and risk analysis to support executive decision‑making
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations
Proficient with financial software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, SAP)
Experience with grant accounting and reporting
Preferred manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting and inventory valuation
Experience in inventory management, tracking, reconciliation, and process optimization
Experience in supply chain financial oversight, vendor cost management, and procurement budgeting
Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Desired Characteristics
Experience in renewable energy
Familiarity with IFRS
M&A, fundraising, or investor reporting experience is a plus
