Responsibilities
Supervising all nursing staff.
Overseeing nursing budgets.
Reporting to higher‑management in the healthcare facility.
Maintaining high standards of care for all patients.
Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records.
Communicating with medical staff, patients, and family members about patient health.
Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff.
Implementing new procedures and training for nurses regarding performance improvement initiatives or revised policies.
Overseeing the therapeutic milieu.
Planning and implementing a nursing performance improvement program in conjunction with the medical director.
Qualifications
Active RN license and BLS certification.
Prefer a master’s degree in nursing with a background in mental health; a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
Healthcare management experience preferred.
At least five years of progressive acute‑care experience and five years of behavioral‑health experience, preferably with children or adolescents.
Proficiency in Joint Commission standards.
