FULL TIME/PERM Salary : $80k-130k

A partner of Insight Global is looking for an experience Clinical Documentation Specialist to join their growing team. The CDI Specialist facilitates and obtains accurate, complete clinical documentation to support appropriate severity of illness (SOI), risk of mortality (ROM), and complexity of care. This role conducts concurrent and retrospective inpatient reviews across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers; generates compliant queries; and collaborates with physicians to clarify ambiguous or conflicting documentation prior to discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required (or obtained within 5 years of hire). • Current NY RN license in good standing. • Credentialed: CCS or CDIP • Experience: 1–3 years CDI experience (concurrent & retrospective reviews). • Knowledge of ICD-10, MS-DRG/APR-DRG logic, clinical validation, and compliant query practice • Tools& Technologies: Epic,OptumCAC, TruCode and similar
