Job Summary Our client is seeking a customer-facing
Junior Network Engineer
to provide hands-on support for installation activities and Day2 service assurance. This role focuses on troubleshooting, implementation support, and ongoing network performance optimization. The ideal candidate is comfortable working flexible shifts, including midday, overnight, and weekends.
Core Responsibilities Provide hands-on support for IP routers, switches, firewalls, and SDWAN customer premises equipment. Assist in designing, configuring, and deploying LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software, and communication services. Monitor and optimize network and system performance; troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Support service provisioning and ensure network infrastructure meets company standards. Work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Act as a technical contact for internal engineering teams when escalations arise. Use independent judgment to resolve significant technical matters. Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; must be able to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with
Fortinet SDWAN
solutions highly preferred. Exposure to Cisco and Juniper routing platforms. Strong understanding of internetworking design principles, routing concepts, and practical applications. Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies. Experience with common networking protocols and standards. Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Fortinet (60F/80F/100F/400F/1800F), Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Check Point NG, or similar. Experience with Cisco switching and routing environments. Certifications such as
Fortinet NSE ,
CCNA , or
CCNP
are a plus. Advanced certifications (e.g., Fortinet Expert, CCIE) are preferred but not required.
