Save Job

Director of Product, Personalization & Growth We are seeking a Director of Product, Personalization & Growth to lead the strategic development and execution of our core personalization and growth experiences across our Headspace offerings. The Director will own the roadmap for foundational personalization systems (identity, preferences, events/feature store, recommendations, ranking, and experimentation), elevate search and discovery (query understanding, relevance, content taxonomy, and navigation), and set our global languages and localization strategy (internationalization, translation quality, cultural nuance, and accessibility). The role will drive organic growth inside and outside the app through SEO/ASO, lifecycle and in-product activation, conversion funnel optimization, and content merchandising—relentlessly improving activation, engagement, retention, and LTV while protecting brand trust.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for personalization foundations, search and discovery relevance, and languages and localization across the Headspace app.

Strengthen member trust through responsible and transparent personalization practices that respect privacy and build loyalty, ensuring clear communication on how user data drives their personalized experience.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Product Design, Science, and Content, to ensure project alignment and successful, timely delivery of features that drive core business outcomes.

Define and analyze key metrics (e.g., search conversion, engagement by language, organic funnel performance) to identify trends, create comprehensive reports on organic growth performance, and present findings to executive stakeholders.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to multi‑language data integrity, search ranking algorithms, foundational data and core personalization logic to maintain a seamless user experience.

Continuously seek opportunities to streamline workflows for content localization (l10n) and enhance team efficiency in implementing A/B tests for personalization & discovery habit‑building experimentation and in‑app/out‑of‑app organic growth loops.

Required Skills

10+ years of professional experience in product/program management, with at least 2+ years in personalization, growth, or AI/ML platform development.

At least 2+ years of experience with direct people management and scaling diverse product, program, or growth teams.

Proven expertise in designing and scaling personalization (p13n) systems, recommendation engines, or search/discovery platforms.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex product strategies clearly to technical and business leaders.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience leading product development for languages, internationalization (i18n), and localization (l10n) for a global mobile application.

Familiarity with mobile organic growth techniques (e.g., outbound marketing, in‑app marketing, App Store Optimization/ASO, mobile SEO) and building data‑driven growth loops.

A track record of successfully launching high‑impact features that improve core user engagement and retention.

Master's degree or professional certification in a quantitative field or product management.
