The Role Senior Software Engineer (Stealth & Series A/B)
1821 Talent Group is a direct placement firm representing a curated portfolio of high-growth technology startups in the Bay Area. We specialize in connecting "Ex-FAANG" caliber engineering talent with Series A and Series B companies solving complex problems in AI Infrastructure, Autonomous Systems, and Scalable Backend Architecture.
We are currently pipelining Senior and Staff Engineers for multiple active searches with well‑funded engineering teams.
The Opportunity Most engineers leave Big Tech for startups to find two things: Impact and Ownership. The roles we represent offer both. You will move away from maintenance work and incremental updates to focus on 0-to-1 builds and architectural scaling.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within high-scale environments or technically rigorous startups.
Technical Stack:
Proficiency in modern backend languages (Python, Go, C++, or Rust) and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes).
System Design:
Strong grasp of distributed systems, concurrency, and low-latency architecture.
Domain Knowledge:
Bonus points for experience in Embedded Systems, ML Infrastructure, or Real‑Time Data streaming.
