Job Summary We have an exciting opening for an experienced Hematology‑Oncology physician to join a growing medical oncology practice in Tacoma, WA. Candidates will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists to shape a newly established practice, form good relationships with our existing employed physician referral network, and contribute to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for the community.

Our Practice Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is home to nationally renowned cancer experts committed to clinical research, innovation, and multidisciplinary care. Our comprehensive cancer care program spans the Puget Sound region, providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care close to home. We collaborate closely to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring patients receive the right level of care at every step of their journey—from diagnosis through survivorship—with a full network of specialized providers and advanced technology.

Tacoma (St. Joseph Medical Center)

Federal Way (St. Francis Hospital)

Gig Harbor (St. Anthony Hospital)

Bonney Lake (VMFH Clinic)

Compensation Compensation range: $416,994 – $677,281 (annual estimate as a reasonable approximation). Hourly pay: $200.45 – $325.61 per hour.

Qualifications

Medical Degree

Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology (ABIM)

Unrestricted Washington State Medical License prior to start date

DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
