We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Network Security Engineer
to join our banking clients Network Security team in NYC (onsite). The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in implementing and managing zero‑trust architectures, endpoint protection, and advanced security tools, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and manage
Zero Trust
architecture solutions including
Zscaler ZIA/ZPA
Administer and fine‑tune
Proofpoint DLP/ITM
to ensure data security across the enterprise
Manage and monitor the
Microsoft Defender suite
including Antivirus, Purview, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
Tune and maintain
SIEM rules , primarily using
LogRhythm , to detect and respond to threats
Administer and manage
Carbon Black Protect (Bit9)
for endpoint protection and control
Apply knowledge of the
MITRE ATT&CK framework
to strengthen threat detection and incident response
Ensure security practices are aligned with regulatory standards such as
NIST 800-53
Participate in ITIL‑aligned
change management
processes for secure deployment and updates
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure effective security posture across infrastructure and applications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience in network security or a similar role
Hands‑on experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Proofpoint DLP, Microsoft Defender, CarbonBlack Protect
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, especially LogRhythm
Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST 800-53 frameworks
Solid grasp of ITIL principles and change management best practices
Relevant certifications a plus (e.g. Zscaler Certified, Microsoft Security certifications)
