A growing digital and technology organization is seeking a

Director of Product Design

to lead the design vision, discovery process, and user experience strategy across a suite of complex, data-rich internal products.

In this role, you will shape early-stage product concepts, establish design systems, embed design thinking, and build scalable design practices that improve clarity, usability, and product quality. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders to create intuitive and effective digital experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead the Product Design function, including UX, UI, user research, and design systems

Define and guide the end-to-end experience across multiple digital products

Introduce and institutionalize

design thinking

within product discovery and delivery

Develop and maintain a unified

design system

and visual identity across tools and platforms

Conduct and champion user research, contextual inquiry, and workflow analysis

Translate research insights into user journeys, prototypes, and measurable experience goals

Facilitate creative exploration sessions with product, data, and engineering teams

Oversee rapid prototyping and validation prior to engineering build

Implement usability testing and continuous feedback loops to refine experiences post-launch

Establish scalable design delivery processes, including reviews, research frameworks, and documentation

Partner with engineers to ensure high-quality, feasible implementation of design

Support adoption of tools such as

Figma , Storybook, and Tailwind within the design system

Qualifications

10+ years in

Product Design, UX, or Human-Centered Design , with leadership experience

Track record of building or scaling design practices in enterprise or complex product environments

Expertise applying

design thinking

to data-rich, multi-step workflows

Strong understanding of enterprise UX, data visualization, and component-based design systems

Effective collaboration with Engineering and Product Management in agile environments

Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Product Design, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
