Data and Reporting Analyst – Prospect Development Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) invites applications for a Data and Reporting Analyst to support Major Giving teams. The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports, managing Salesforce data, training teammates, and driving data‑driven decision making.

Duties & Responsibilities

Generate reports and dashboards, manage workflows, and execute routine data tasks.

Develop tools to continuously monitor data accuracy.

Perform data imports and ad‑hoc requests; manage data integrity and manipulation (merge duplicates, assign ownership).

Support CRM management by ensuring adherence business rules and accurate data entry.

Create and run complex queries, mailing lists, and data exports for fundraising and outreach.

Assist in delivering end‑user training for the Major Gifts team and other relevant groups.

Provide day‑to‑day end‑user support, coaching, guidance, and troubleshooting for Salesforce, reporting, and data best practices.

Build collaborative relationships with teams across Communications, Marketing, Programs, and Resource Development.

Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for Major Giving leadership to identify trends, opportunities, and shape strategy.

Support portfolio management efforts, updating account moves and assisting teams with portfolio transitions.

Safeguard data integrity by identifying duplicates and correcting gift and soft‑credit records.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on business processes, workflows, and training materials.

Support the database team and external vendors with trend analysis and forecast modeling.

Contribute to reporting improvements and system enhancements.

Communicate project updates, findings, and trends with key stakeholders.

Articulate WWP’s history, mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources.

Attend required training and meetings (e.g., New Teammate Orientation, Leadership training, ASIST Suicide Prevention training).

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong business acumen and data analysis skills to guide decision making.

Highly developed interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and partners.

Proven documentation skills for outlining and recording processes.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities, conveying complex technical information.

Strong database management and querying skills.

Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to interpret data, draw conclusions, and diagnose root causes.

Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and timely completion of objectives.

Ability to synthesize large data sets into concise user‑friendly formats.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.

Discretion and tact with confidential information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Proficient in managing Salesforce objects and building Lightning Reports.

High energy level, self‑starter, initiative‑driven.

Experience

Minimum two years in data analysis, reporting, or CRM management in a nonprofit or development setting.

Minimum one year with Salesforce NPSP.

Preferred Experience

Three years in data analysis, reporting, or CRM management in a nonprofit or development setting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, business, computer science, or related field.

Certifications & Licensure

No required certifications.

Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

General office environment, temperature controlled.

Primarily seated; up to 10% travel.
