Senior Solutions Architect, Cluster Design and Architecture – Networking

Join NVIDIA to lead the design and architecture of next‑generation networking solutions that connect thousands of GPUs and enable the world’s most advanced AI supercomputers and enterprise AI infrastructure. Overview

In this role, you will act as a key technical expert bridging NVIDIA’s networking technology stack—including Infiniband, Spectrum‑X, NVLink, and complementary software solutions—to engineering and field teams. You will influence how leading AI companies, cloud providers, hyperscalers, research institutions, and enterprises build and scale their AI and HPC infrastructure. Responsibilities

Partner with internal engineering on GPU cluster building and networking; convey architecture guidelines to customers and field teams. Guide field teams and customers in cluster design, balancing design principles with situational constraints to deliver high‑performance, supportable GPU clusters. Support customers through first deployments of new products, including innovative network architectures and topologies. Provide customer and field feedback on networking development and workflows to internal engineering and documentation teams. Assist field teams in debugging network build, configuration, and performance issues, leveraging internal expertise and known bugs. Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of experience in network architecture, design, validation, and troubleshooting. Proven expertise designing large‑scale distributed systems, AI clusters, or HPC infrastructure. Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into customer‑ready documentation, diagrams, and reference material. Ways to Stand Out

Leadership experience in large‑scale AI factory or HPC cluster bring‑ups or builds. Hands‑on experience with NVIDIA networking products—including Infiniband, Spectrum‑X, BlueField, etc. Knowledge of NCCL, MPI, and collective communication patterns in distributed training as it relates to networking patterns and design. Background in network performance optimization, congestion control, and validation at scale. External customer‑facing skill set and background. Benefits and Compensation

Base salary ranges from $184,000 – $287,500 (Level 4) and $224,000 – $356,500 (Level 5).
