Key Responsibilities

Advise the CEO on financial matters, delivering clear, mission‑aligned recommendations.

Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support.

Collaborate with department leaders to align financial planning with organizational goals.

Present financial updates to the Board, committees, and resident groups.

Oversee accounting functions: general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations.

Supervise the Controller and finance team.

Champion robust internal controls and compliance with GAAP and regulations.

Direct annual audit preparation and manage external financial partners.

Oversee cash flow, reserves, and investments.

Lead annual operating and capital budgets.

Produce monthly financial statements, variance analyses, dashboards, and forecasts.

Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Oversee resident billing, insurance claims, collections, and refunds.

Partner with Health Services, Resident Services, and Admissions for accurate billing.

Maintain strong controls around cash receipts, deposits, and treasury functions.

Manage financial compliance, licensing, reporting, and filings.

Oversee insurance programs and financial risk management.

Coordinate legal review of financial contracts and agreements.

Ensure financial systems support accurate reporting and operational efficiency.

Partner with IT on system upgrades and technology initiatives.

Lead development of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics.

Build a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.

Model collaboration and mission‑driven decision‑making.

Serve as a financial liaison to residents, providing clarity and education.

Present at resident forums and major events.

Support resident understanding of pricing, budgets, and financial trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.

CPA or master’s degree strongly preferred.

Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or nonprofit environments.

Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle operations.

Demonstrated history of leading teams and implementing modern financial systems.

Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting.

Knowledge of senior living or healthcare billing structures preferred.

High proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.

Skill in developing dashboards, analytics, and performance reporting.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary $220K – $260K annual base salary. This position is open to discussing flexible and hybrid work schedule.
