and lead the dining experience at our modern LEED-certified hotel in downtown Denver. As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all phases of restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant associates to ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, and complete uniform, polished shoes, name tags, and overall appearance.
Supervise guest service, remaining alert to guests’ signals and needs.
Assist the manager in establishing and monitoring side‑work duty completion.
Maintain the bank to SOP, keeping it balanced and secure at all times.
Read daily communication sheets from the previous shift, prepare the sheet for the following shift, and check for all personnel call‑offs and floor‑plan coverage.
Check the restaurant for cleanliness and proper setup, including service stands, aisle areas, and tables.
Communicate daily with the restaurant manager regarding special events, house counts, and other operational matters.
Assist restaurant managers in conducting menu classes and taste panels.
Education
High school education or equivalent.
Experience
One to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession, including management of people and complex problems.
Excellent oral communication skills for interacting with guests and associates, issuing instructions, and communicating policies.
Strong comprehension skills for assisting with guest and associate matters and interpreting instructions from superiors.
Excellent visual acuity for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chafing dishes on a daily basis (20–40 lbs).
Bending to pick up dropped items and assist in serving food or acquiring supplies.
No kneeling required.
Mobility—95% of shift covering all areas of outlets supervising.
Continuous standing to assist at the hostess station; minimal stationary standing. Climbing stairs—varies by location.
No driving required.
