Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Revenue and Quote-to-Cash Transformation to join our finance, accounting and operations organization. Our finance, accounting, and operations groups support business infrastructure, automation, building solutions, and providing accurate, insightful financial information to empower our stakeholders. Your efforts will directly impact the ongoing transformation and success of a world-leading cybersecurity business. You’ll collaborate on complex business, financial and technology problems that are top-of-mind for our executives. You possess a unique blend of business insight, big-picture thinking, deep understanding of end-to-end financial processes and related systems, strong project management skills, ability to influence and collaborate with a large number of constituents within Palo Alto Networks and an optimization mindset. In this role, you’ll lead initiatives and workstreams with complex business, financial and technology problems across finance, accounting and operations. The role will support the overall revenue and quote-to-cash (QTC) transformation initiatives and partner closely with the quote-to-cash and other subject matter experts and leaders within the finance, accounting and operations organization. You possess a unique blend of business knowledge, a deep understanding of the end-to-end quote-to-cash process and related systems, dependencies on other functions and processes, importance of data integrity, completeness and accuracy, leading practices, coupled with a focused transformation mindset. As a key driver of execution, it’s critical that you possess communication, problem solving and articulation skills, confidence and adaptability to manage stakeholders to advance practical, strategic and quality decision-making, and achieve our desired business outcomes. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Revenue and QTC Transformation, and partner closely with IT managers, Program Operations, and other process leaders within the finance, accounting, sales, and product organizations. Your Impact Drive execution of current and future change initiatives with focus on Revenue Operations and synergies with broader QTC process areas and wear multiple hats (strategy development, project management and execution) to move the needle Execute identified and propose additional improvements and optimization ideas for current processes, systems and data and create operational efficiencies Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test hypotheses, articulate complex business problems, mobilize, run and direct project teams to implement solutions and drive accountability Structure and size large complex projects into an executable plan and align participants on their roles and responsibilities for the project execution Develop long-term roadmaps, detailed project plans, project success criteria and key metrics, change management and other communication plans and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure value is unlocked Create deliverables (business case memos, key decision documents, presentations, etc.) for executive level consumption Capture and drive accountability for RAIDD items, status reporting, escalation Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing team or cross-functional project members, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth Qualifications Your Experience Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Operations Process Management degree (or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience) required. MBA and CPA or equivalent preferred. 8 to 10 years of relevant experience within the tech industry, with a combination of experience at an accounting / consulting practice and industry experience at a top-tier tech company. Extensive project management skills, including system implementations, large-scale transformations and AI projects. In-depth experience with applying M&A integrations methodology, practical process, systems and operational integration execution, business and operational adoption, and large scale data migration and conversion strategy, planning and execution. Strong understanding of revenue operations and accounting (including US GAAP, ASC 606, IFRS 15 and relevant internal controls) for an enterprise business across hardware, software, subscription, consumption/usage models, and multiple go-to-market motions. Understanding of QTC process and systems that support it, including Master Data Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, Deals Desk, Configure-Price-Quote, Order Management, Invoicing, Cash Application, Credit & Collections, Returns, Revenue Recognition & Reporting. Knowledge of processes enabled using SAP ERP (RAR, BRIM / SD and S/4 HANA), SFDC (CRM and CPQ), Credit and Collections, and Cash Application tools and other bolt-on solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences within Business and IT. You are hands-on, results-oriented, curious, a strong problem-solver and action-oriented. You work effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment, with an ability to deal with ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and drive accountability within project teams. Additional Information The Team The team is a group of specialists responsible for ensuring our consolidated revenue results are complete and accurate with policies, procedures, and systems ensuring compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606, IFRS 15 and other regulatory standards. They work closely with strategy, IT, FP&A, sales operations, legal, investor relations, and product development to ensure timely and accurate reporting. You will be part of a growing, passionate, and dynamic team with an opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects — centered on what we believe is one of the most significant mission statements in the world. Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates offered at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be between $118,000/YR - $170,000/YR and may include restricted stock units and a bonus.
