Life Science Project Executive – F&B Market Gray Construction is seeking a Life Science Project Executive for the Food & Beverage market, available for any of our office locations or remote work with travel.

Responsibilities

Overall management of large projects ($200MM+) or multiple complex construction projects.

Project Administration: facilitate meetings, record minutes, track action items, ensure submittal reviews and status reports are completed.

Financial Success: monitor budget and costs, develop corrective actions, produce reports to Directors and VPs, and develop proposals and execution strategies.

Schedule Performance: maintain master schedule, collaborate with field operations, identify potential delays, and document and communicate schedule changes.

Risk Management: understand contractual terms, develop risk management plans, oversee risk mitigation and reporting.

Relationship Management: serve as primary customer contact, develop relationship plans, coordinate with A/E Services and MEP Services.

Team Member Development: mentor and train senior and assistant project managers, ensure training and development plans.

Collaboration: maintain cooperative work environment with engineering, design and construction teams, communicate with other Project Executives and Directors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college/university or minimum 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination.

Seven consecutive years of profit & loss accountability on multiple projects.

Five years managing all disciplines of design/build or hard bid projects for this market.

Experience with all contracting methods (lump sum, GMP, cost‑plus, fee‑based).

Proven track record of increasing project profitability from initial margin.

Deep technical knowledge to represent Gray as the primary point of contact in initial project discussions.

Ability to manage and mentor various levels of project staff.

Experience developing aggressive schedules and cost estimates for industrial design/build projects.

Strong relationship building skills with owners, vendors, suppliers and stakeholders.

Other Skills & Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication, ability to present and respond effectively.

Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, e‑mail; knowledge of scheduling and estimating applications.

Mathematical skills: basic business math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions.

Reasoning ability: solve practical problems, interpret instructions, evaluate solutions.

Physical demands: ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, lift up to 50 lbs, some climbing or stooping.
