Director, Business Development, Anduril Technology Market (US OEMs/System Integrators)
role at
Anduril Industries
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real‑time, 3‑D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
About The Team The Business Development (BD) team, within Anduril’s Growth organization, is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities for the company. The team must deeply understand users’ pain points, how current solutions fail to address existing gaps, and how Anduril products can deliver more effective mission outcomes. BD team members serve as the bridge between clients and the broader Anduril team; they convey client perspectives to other teams across the enterprise while also serving as the Anduril brand ambassador externally. They partner extensively with the Mission Operations team to ensure that Anduril products exceed client expectations and mission demands, and to drive continuous product improvements in response to ever‑changing client needs and operating environments.
About The Job In this role, you will develop opportunities with US Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Systems Integrators (SIs), integrating advanced technological capabilities into their systems while navigating US Government acquisition processes. With subject matter knowledge in sensors, effectors, platform subsystems, command and control, and autonomous systems, you will shape requirements and capture opportunities with US‑based partners. You will prioritize the needs of clients and the warfighter, build exceptional products that enhance defense capabilities, and take ownership of your accounts while demonstrating technical aptitude and a commitment to continuous learning. As a structured thinker and problem solver, you will communicate effectively across teams, distill complex issues into actionable plans, foster teamwork, develop rapport with stakeholders at all levels, and embrace your role as a 360‑degree leader. You will also promote diversity and inclusion, encouraging unique perspectives as you contribute to reshaping our world.
What You’ll Do
Generate and capture business opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of the existing and prospective customer base, programmatic and technical roadmaps, and competitive landscape. Inform capture strategies, revenue forecasts, and technology development plans. Build accounts, manage continuous engagements, generate growth strategies, and monitor buying cycles and US government budgets.
Grow existing business. Liaise with the Mission Operations team to expand work with current clients and leverage existing partnerships to explore new areas of work or opportunities.
Communicate our value to clients. Represent Anduril to clients, partners, competitors, and the interested public, projecting the company’s ethos and competitive edge.
Inform product development. Translate client problem sets to the engineering organization, provide clarity on priorities, inform decisions, and maintain clear communication across the company.
Required Qualifications
Experience developing and executing capture plans for B2B opportunities in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Experience with complex systems involving hardware and software.
Experience running active business forecasting pipeline.
Experience building and maintaining an opportunity pipeline in SalesForce.
Comfortable in limited resource environments.
Comfortable setting and achieving goals in a complex environment.
