This is a 6-month, hybrid position with the possibility of conversion to full-time employment. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices deployed on AWS. Implement and integrate APIs, ensuring seamless communication with internal systems and third-party vendor services. Write, test, and deploy backend code using Node.js and AWS services. Utilize AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) to build, deploy, and manage applications. Optimize deployments for performance, scalability, and reliability. API Integration & Design
Collaborate with product managers to define API specifications. Design solutions that integrate vendor APIs into existing systems. Create documentation and maintain version control for APIs Requirements
7 – 8 years of hands‑on experience in backend software engineering. Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining backend systems. Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend development with demonstrated experience in architecting and designing backend systems. Strong proficiency in Typescript. Extensive experience deploying microservices on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS, or Fargate. Deep understanding of API integration and experience building microservices that integrate with third‑party vendor APIs. Strong backend integration skills, including data handling, API orchestration, and service‑to‑service communication. Familiarity with platform‑level system design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
