Position Overview We are seeking DevOps Engineers at multiple experience levels to join a high‑performing engineering team supporting both unclassified and classified environments. These roles involve designing and maintaining software development pipelines, managing system configurations, implementing automation, and deploying containerized applications in secure environments. Ideal candidates are mission‑driven, results‑oriented, and thrive in collaborative, fast‑paced settings. Leadership opportunities are available for senior‑level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
Integrate and support systems in secure, air‑gapped environments.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Salt, Ansible, and Puppet.
Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters for scalable deployments.
Automate DevOps processes through scripting and software development.
Manage secure development tools and ensure encrypted communication channels.
Implement certificate‑based authentication and secure access protocols.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while adhering to best practices.
Continuously improve automation, reliability, and pipeline efficiency.
Document and maintain system security operations and configurations.
Lead and mentor junior engineers (for senior‑level roles).
Travel Requirement Less than 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4-9+ years of experience;
OR Graduate degree with 2-7+ years of experience;
OR 8-13+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Salt, Ansible, Puppet).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Artifactory).
Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
Experience with Linux‑based development environments.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Groovy).
Experience with software engineering and QA processes.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
U.S. Citizenship required; must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Skills
Object‑oriented development in memory‑safe languages.
Experience with CMake and C++.
Familiarity with RHEL 7/8/9, Ubuntu, or Debian.
RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
Knowledge of networking (firewalls, routing, subnetting, port mappings).
Experience with SELinux, FAPolicyd, and security scanning tools.
Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+).
REST API development and integration.
