Full-time, Monday–Friday (8 hour shift between 8am - 6pm) Duration:
Temporary assignment (approximately 3 months)
Key Responsibilities
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain required prior authorizations for scheduled procedures Interpret payer guidelines to identify authorization requirements, coverage limitations, and referral needs Ensure accurate documentation within the EMR, including codes, provider details, dates of service, and authorization references Track authorization statuses and follow up proactively to meet surgical timelines Communicate professionally with insurance carriers and provide clear status updates to internal teams Manage cases from start to finish while prioritizing urgency, maintaining compliance, and safeguarding patient information
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in insurance verification, eligibility, or pre-authorization Strong understanding of payer guidelines and authorization processes EMR experience; ability to adapt quickly to system changes Excellent documentation and data accuracy skills Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with minimal supervision
