Role Description
This is a part-time role for an EMDR Certified Associate Therapist, based in Newport Beach, CA. The Associate Therapist will provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients, maintain thorough documentation, and collaborate with clinical supervisors and team members regularly. This position includes conducting initial assessments, developing treatment plans, and offering evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs. While primarily based in the Newport Beach office, remote work arrangements may be accommodated for a portion of work responsibilities. Qualifications
EMDR Training / Certification Strong experience in delivering individual, couples, or family therapy using therapeutic techniques and tools Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other modalities Knowledge and ability to assess client needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and set measurable therapy goals Organizational skills, effective scheduling, and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation of client sessions Collaborative skills, including working within a team and general understanding for engaging and establishing trust with clients Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy; active licensure in California or eligibility for licensure supervision Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical therapeutic practices Basic competency in technology for virtual services and documentation platforms Experience in specialty areas such as trauma, anxiety, or eating disorders is a plus
