Kendo has become the hub of creativity and next‑generation beauty product development for global Sephora channels and selective retailers outside of Sephora. The salary range for this position is $127,100 – $158,900 per year, with an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, flex paid time off, parental leave, employee discounts, a retirement plan with employer contributions, Summer Fridays, the opportunity to work from anywhere for two weeks during the calendar year and a December wellness/shutdown week for applicable positions.
SUMMARY The Senior Manager, Digital Innovation & Brand Collaborations leads the brand’s experimentation and partnership strategy across emerging digital platforms, technologies, and cross‑industry collaborations. They identify, pilot, and scale innovation and partnership programs that keep the brand culturally relevant, technologically forward, and deeply connected to the next generation of beauty consumers. They sit at the intersection of brand, culture, and commerce, collaborating with other teams and external partners to launch disruptive partnerships that inspire global audiences and achieve our goals. This role is equal parts creativity and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Innovation & Platform Strategy:
Identify and evaluate emerging digital platforms, technologies, and tools that offer new storytelling or commerce opportunities (e.g., Roblox, AR/AI, metaverse, gamified beauty, etc.).
Develop proof‑of‑concept programs that test new consumer experiences, social commerce models, or platform features.
Partner with Global E‑commerce teams to connect innovation pilots to measurable brand and business outcomes.
Stay ahead of digital trends and advocate for creative adoption across the broader marketing organization.
Brand Collaborations & Cultural Partnerships:
Lead end‑to‑end development of brand collaborations across beauty, gaming, entertainment, and creator ecosystems.
Partner cross‑functionally with Global Marketing, Communications, and Fenty Corp to evaluate potential partners for creative, cultural, and commercial fit.
Manage partnership negotiations, timelines, and activation strategy, ensuring every collaboration aligns with brand DNA and consumer insight.
Collaborate with Global Brand and Product teams to develop co‑branded content, experiences, and storytelling assets.
Measure impact of collaborations on awareness, engagement, and affinity.
Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Act as a connector between social, influencer, communications, and brand teams to integrate innovation and collaborations into the overall marketing ecosystem.
Manage cross‑functional workstreams with external partners, ensuring deliverables align with campaign and launch calendars.
Support the Director in presenting concepts and results to senior leadership and global teams.
Performance & Measurement:
Define KPIs for innovation pilots and partnerships, balancing creative ambition with measurable results.
Synthesize learnings and develop frameworks for scaling successful programs globally.
Manage budgets and external partner relationships with efficiency and strategic intent.
REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of experience in marketing or brand management with beauty expertise (brand and/or agency side).
Effective relationship‑building skills and professional savvy to leverage partnerships across the organization.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage, tell stories, and influence internal and cross‑functional teams.
Creative, passionate, and innovative marketer who can build and execute plans with support across various disciplines.
