Project Engineer Intralox is a division of Laitram, L.L.C., delivering innovative conveyance solutions that improve lives and optimize businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities

Support successful execution of multi-million dollar automated systems programs from engineering definition to post-sales support.

Collaborate with internal functional groups including Program and Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Shipping & Logistics, Installation, etc.

Manage implementation of product strategy for the program: customer priorities, engineering initiation, activities support, Bill of Material deployment to ERP system.

Manage hardware and software baseline configurations for the program.

Review issue lists and convert entries into prioritized Hardware Problem Reports, Hardware Change Requests, Software Bugs & Pull Requests based on program objectives.

Coordinate all hardware and software changes with customer engineering groups via their Change‑Control procedures.

Oversee rollout of approved hardware and software changes into production environment, assessing retrofit needs and updating work orders.

Manage review and implementation of engineering change requests and related documentation such as spares list, user manuals, etc.

Create and standardize project configurations with Product Lifecycle Management Tools.

Create and update miscellaneous Bill of Material transactions within Windchill and Oracle to drive successful program execution.

Conduct periodic site visits (up to 25% travel) to perform quality checks and document configuration issues.

Use software such as MS Office Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and ORACLE business suite to accomplish job responsibilities.

Ensure adherence to customers’ mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.

Communicate project status, risks, challenges, and areas for improvement to the program team and stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

Promote Intralox best practices, processes, and procedures.

Champion and ensure company culture.

Requirements

B.S. in engineering or similar field with 3+ years of experience in material handling industry or product development environment.

Effective communication (verbal and written).

Technical aptitude – familiarity with fundamental industrial machine design concepts, sensors & actuators, industrial controls logic.

Good communication skills.

Experience with CAD software.

Asks good questions and a problem solver.

Must be detail oriented and organized.

Must be a self-managed individual who is a team player.

Able to travel up to 25% of the time.

When critical to project success, able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Position based out of Hanover, Maryland.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience with the Material Handling Industry.

Experience with PLM (Windchill), ERP (Oracle) and Microsoft Project.

Salary Range $73,400 to $153,100.
