Purpose of the role The Digital Marketing Manager helps drive strategy, execution and creativity across client digital and social programs, while ensuring timelines and client relationships are managed effectively. This role manages the client relationship, identifies strategic opportunities, and mentors junior team members to promote growth.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks Digital / Social Media

Contribute to the development and implementation of full‑funnel marketing strategies.

Work with account leadership to define processes, structure and KPIs to deliver integrated strategies.

Oversee creation of project and creative briefs, timelines and templates; act as line of defence for QA and traffic review.

Collaborate with cross‑departmental teams (paid social media, content, research and more) to execute, optimise and report on deliverables.

Plan, implement and maintain social media campaigns and projects for clients, creating innovative and targeted opportunities for growth and KPI acceleration.

Develop compelling and impactful content and integrated campaigns for current and prospective clients.

Use social listening tools and analytical services to generate actionable insight, informing ongoing account strategies and spotting growth areas.

Refine methodologies in digital channel measurement and return‑on‑investment reporting.

Stay up‑to‑date with best practices and current trends.

Client Management

Act as day‑to‑day lead across the account, with knowledge and insight into all service lines and key delivery dates.

Maintain a consultative relationship with the client, acting as the key contact for all program work streams and deliverables.

Define deadlines and service agreements, ensuring they are met consistently by the team.

Operate as project manager for campaigns and creative programmes, providing transparency to timelines for internal teams and clients.

Review account performance with internal account leads, communicating opportunities for additional PR, marketing and digital services.

Assist with pricing and selling projects.

Organise and deliver projects to plan, budget and quality, assessing and mitigating risks throughout.

Process Management

Create, run and manage project planning processes.

Identify and plan required team support against project scope together with account leads.

Plan, assign and manage tasks and deadlines with individual team members.

Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to push deliverables through.

Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of projects and scope.

Own and manage QA and approval processes internally and with clients.

Team Working and Development

Act as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports and teammates to maximise strengths and address weaknesses.

Encourage and inspire excellence in account teams, leading by example.

Record and share lessons learned with team members to facilitate continuous improvement.

Schedule and chair regular project status update meetings with channel delivery teams and senior stakeholders.

Inspire a positive environment that allows team members to act without fear.

May line‑manage junior account team members, delivering coaching, supervision and regular assessment.

Set individual objectives on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

Provide guidance to colleagues on how best to manage campaigns, including answering general new business requests.

Reporting and Analysis

Own the development of detailed reports to senior management and clients, using social listening and/or account social/digital activity.

Communicate account performance internally and provide strategic advice to the client based on measured analytics.

Initiate optimisations and recommendations noted in reports.

Monitor and report back on account KPIs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting by junior team members.

About You

4-5+ years digital marketing experience focusing on organic, paid, and content areas including client‑facing capacity; tech experience required, cybersecurity client experience a plus.

A persuasive and convincing writing style, specialising in translating tech into understandable, relatable, and creative social content.

Preference for working in a fast‑paced environment (agency experience preferred).

Acute attention to detail and organisational skills.

Strong project management skills with an ability to plan, prioritise and anticipate.

A proven track record of successfully delivering high‑quality digital products and services on time, to specification and under budget.

Understanding of client business issues and requirements.

Understanding of the local market and opportunities for growth.

Ability to delegate effectively.

Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines.

Ability to interact confidently with clients at a senior level.

Ability to troubleshoot team and client problem areas and suggest remedial action.

Creative thinking and an open‑minded approach.

Experience with social management, listening and reporting tools such as Hootsuite and Meltwater/Brandwatch.

Must have experience with organic and paid social platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
