A Brief Overview The District Manager, Central oversees ASICS Retail Stores focusing on performance and brand consistency across the region. Key responsibilities include developing Head Coaches and Area Managers (if applicable), conducting store visits, ensuring visual, operational, and safety standards are met, and analyzing sales data to meet District and Company goals. This role requires retail leadership experience, business acumen, and team development skills to support ASICS' market presence. It emphasizes the "Sound Mind, Sound Body" philosophy, prioritizing operational excellence, holistic growth, and well‑being for customers and employees.

Leadership Responsibilities This position has people leadership responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Store Operations Management – Oversee daily operations of multiple stores (8-17), including staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and visual presentation. Ensure stores meet sales goals and operational standards.

People Management – Recruit, train, and manage Head Coaches (store managers) / Area Managers, providing coaching and performance feedback to ensure high‑quality leadership and staff development within the district. Set performance goals and conduct regular one‑on‑ones.

Business Analysis and Sales Growth – Develop and implement sales strategies, analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and drive revenue growth within the district. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to gain insights into company‑led strategies.

Compliance & Loss Prevention – Ensure that all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrink and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.

Customer Experience – Monitor customer service standards, resolve any customer opportunities, and ensure a positive and consistent customer experience across all stores in the district.

Abide by all federal, state and local laws.

How You'll Be Successful

Ability to effectively motivate, engage and foster growth within direct reports.

Travel throughout the United States (approximately 90%).

Be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.

Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.

Be well organized with good time‑management skills.

Be analytical and problem‑solving oriented.

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

2-3 years experience managing direct reports or equivalent training.

Minimum of 1 year in multi‑unit management or at least 5 years single store management experience.
