Job Summary
Full Time Field Service Technician – California East Bay Area.
Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the California East Bay Area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon).
The territory consists of 90+ kiosks.
The position is hourly plus commission with an estimated pay of $60-66k per year. Company car will be provided along with cell‑phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.

Essential Job Functions
Re‑stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed.
Perform on‑call repairs or adjustments when a machine goes out of order.
Install or swap kiosks in the local area.
Monitor machines daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
Track inventory for re‑stocking machines in possession.
Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.
Report safety hazards, incidents, and participate in safety programs.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred).
1–3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer literacy, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Professional representation of Hillman.
Availability to work weekends when required.
Operational Equipment and Travel
Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license; clean record mandatory.
Reliable transportation with automobile insurance; mileage reimbursement.
Reliable cell phone (reimbursed).
Work Environment and Physical Demands Sales/Service environment varies by location; may be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily; may drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination, vision, and hearing required. Medium physical demands, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
