Position Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing and executing all core human resources functions for a rapidly growing, dynamic, multi-state organization. This role supports both in‑house and remote employees and partners closely with leadership to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and a strong people‑first culture. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing HR operations across multiple U.S. states and thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with executive and operational leaders to align HR strategy with business goals and company growth.

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs that support a multi‑state workforce.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, paid leave, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and employee classification requirements.

Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect state‑specific and regulatory changes.

Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Support managers with performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).

Support recruiting and hiring activities, including job descriptions, workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and offer approvals.

Oversee onboarding and off‑boarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.

Administer compensation and benefits programs, including benefits enrollment and annual open enrollment.

Serve as the primary HR contact for payroll coordination, benefits vendors, insurance providers, and HRIS systems.

Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation.

Support training, compliance, and leadership development initiatives.

Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high‑accountability workplace culture.

Process bi‑weekly payroll using Insperity Payroll System.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience.

Demonstrated experience supporting employees across multiple U.S. states.

Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth organization.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Work Environment

Office‑based work environment with regular collaboration across departments.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.

Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Compensation $100K yearly, FLSA Status: Exempt
