Responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in implementing the plan of care for a group of patients and functioning in a technical role in providing quality patient care. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values. What You Will Do
Contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data. Provides direct care in a safe manner. Evaluates the plan of care on a continuous basis. Effectively communicates in writing and orally with patients/families and other health team members. Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery in the assigned area. Education / Formal Training Requirements
Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing – LPN Work Experience Requirements
No prior work experience Licenses And Certifications Requirements
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association Licensed Practical Nurse – Arkansas – Arkansas State Board of Nursing Licensed Practical Nurse – Mississippi – Mississippi Board of Nursing Licensed Practical Nurse – Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing Supervision Provided By This Position
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. Physical Demands
Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. Require close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision for tasks such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids as well as hazardous or poisonous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Seniority Level
