Responsibilities

Execute established test procedures on various hardware components and systems (e.g., PCBs, embedded systems, prototypes) following detailed instructions.

Monitor tests at internal and external labs to ensure they are running correctly and capture relevant data.

Perform initial debugging and failure analysis of test setup to identify the root cause of hardware and/or software anomalies encountered during testing.

Utilize standard lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) to probe, measure, and troubleshoot issues.

Perform mechanical test setup using aluminum extrusion, hand tools, and typical scrappy test setup techniques to ensure tests are executed properly.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze test data and results to confirm product performance against specified requirements.

Document and log defects/bugs with organized and meticulous notes using internal tracking systems, including steps to reproduce, observed behavior, and system configuration.

Prepare clear, concise, and accurate test reports summarizing the test progress, execution status, and key findings.

Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Design, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering) to discuss test results and potential issues.

General Support

Maintain the organization and operational readiness of the testing environment and equipment.

Assist senior engineers with re‑testing fixes and verifying successful resolution of defects.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Similar

Python experience (automate repetitive tasks, analyze data, work within larger testing frameworks)

Working knowledge of test equipment including thermal chambers, vibe tables, liquid chillers, power supplies, electronic loads, and DAQs

Multidisciplinary experience across ME/EE. Expertise in one, knowledgeable in the other.

Experience working in a Linux environment and networking

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data processing or simple test automation.

Familiarity with common communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).

Prior experience in a lab setting or with hands‑on hardware projects.

Desired Qualifications

Experience using Bazel build automation

Experience doing thermal vibe testing

Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN‑FD)

Familiarity with test/operation of brushless motors

Pay range is $60-$70 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
