About the Team DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager with strong product sense to oversee building out transportation and logistics strategies for long‑distance deliveries across the US. This highly cross‑functional team focuses on both zero‑to‑one initiatives and scaling mid‑maturity businesses to unlock merchant growth and earnings opportunities for drivers. The charter spans mobile, backend, and web components, including integrations with external transportation aggregators, an in‑house TMS, and related capabilities. The end goal is to build industry‑leading mid‑mile transportation and logistics systems that enable third‑party businesses to deliver items anywhere in their city and across the US.
About the Role
Provide technical guidance, leadership and development for a team growing to 8+ engineers across Android, FullStack and Backend.
Own the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team.
Collaborate with business and engineering leaders at multinational corporations to understand their business needs and translate them into world‑class products.
Engage with key internal stakeholders to define the roadmap and vision for our product.
Partner with analytics and data counterparts to measure impact and success of products and features delivered.

2+ years of experience in people management, ideally leading a team size of 8+ and managing senior engineers.
Prior experience working on a user‑facing product.
Extensive experience as an engineer in a product‑focused development environment.
Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.

Paid Time Off Details
For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
