Why This Role Matters This is a high‑impact role responsible for developing strategic relationships with Kroger category teams, expanding distribution, shaping category strategy, and helping our client partners unlock their full potential in one of the country’s largest retailers. You will play a critical role in guiding brand strategy, retailer negotiations, promotional planning, and overall business performance across the Kroger ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Leadership
Develop, own, and execute strategic joint business plans to meet and exceed client KPIs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Kroger and Harris Teeter Category Managers and Merchant teams.
Identify distribution opportunities, whitespace, and incremental growth opportunities across all divisions.
Sales & Business Development
Sell in new items, secure expanded distribution, and drive increased share for Peaklign clients.
Lead all aspects of customer selling: presentation development, category insights, storytelling, and sell‑through strategy.
Manage customer trade investment, promotional calendars, and digital merchandising programs.
Category & Data Analysis
Leverage
84.51°, Stratum, and syndicated data (NIQ/IRI/SPINS)
to develop actionable insights, forecast trends, and guide decision‑making.
Monitor performance at the item, store, and division level to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Peaklign brand teams across marketing, operations, and finance to align strategies and ensure flawless execution.
Coordinate with client partners on pricing, promotional strategy, supply chain planning, and retail readiness.
Deliver best‑in‑class communication, reporting, and follow‑through to build trust and strong customer relationships.
Drive execution of retail programs including modular placement, digital shelf improvements, and seasonal/feature opportunities.
Support new item forecasting, promotional planning, and innovation launch strategy.
Client Partnership
Represent client brands with professionalism, enthusiasm, and category expertise.
Serve as the strategic advisor on Kroger‑specific opportunities, risks, and long‑term growth potential.

Qualifications
5+ years of CPG sales or account management experience
3+ years managing Kroger or Harris Teeter
strongly preferred
Proficiency with 84.51° Stratum and syndicated data (NIQ/IRI/SPINS)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong influencing, selling, and negotiation abilitiesDemonstrated success creating and delivering customer‑facing presentations
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders
Proven track record building strong retailer relationships
Cross‑functional experience in marketing, operations, or category development preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to travel as needed
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Peaklign cannot sponsor visas at this time)
