Senior Platform Engineer with Security Clearance
Job Description: Serve as a Senior Platform Engineer. Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. Support data integration efforts and build, maintain, and optimize underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain secure platform infrastructure.
Support data integration efforts.
Build and optimize infrastructure for AI workloads.
Maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, or self‑managed).
Design and upgrade highly available, scalable clusters, including control plane and worker nodes.
Containerize applications with Docker and apply best practices.
Configure Kubernetes networking, implement load balancing and services.
Secure Kubernetes environments and network security.
Optimize resources and tune clusters for performance.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
Apply IaC with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
Create and customize Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging.
Write automation scripts in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
Manage Linux/Unix environments (networking, file systems, process management).
Support internal developer platforms (IDPs) and Kubernetes operators/CRDs.
Travel up to 20% as required for onsite installations and maintenance.
Qualifications
Extensive experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
Experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes operators, and CRDs.
Background in Linux and Unix administration.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
Relevant certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
Current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements.
Active DoD TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) Clearance.
Travel willingness up to 20%.
