Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician
RSC Mechanical, Inc.

Full‑time position. High school degree required. Pay: $20.00 – $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk‑ins, reach‑ins, ice machines, parallel rack systems, etc.).
Preferred experience with CO₂ refrigeration rack systems, including hands‑on work with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transcritical and subcritical systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and system checks.
Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
Replace or repair compressors, motors, fans, and other key components.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications
EPA Universal Certification required.
Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role.
Techs expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management.
Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced or high‑stress environments.
Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Overtime may be required based on workload.
Participation in an on‑call rotation following the training period.
