Job Description Join our CV PV team for a rewarding career in Cardiac & Vascular surgery. You will provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include ensuring proper arrangement of equipment and supplies, assisting the surgeon as allowed, and cleaning the OR afterward. You report to the Manager.
Primary role will be as a CST in one of our seven cardiac or vascular operating rooms, a high‑volume setting with an average of 30 open‑heart cases per week. After orientation you may have the opportunity for flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends.
Qualifications
Completion of a surgical technologist program.
Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or ability to obtain it within one year of employment.
Maintained CPR, BLS validation, and attendance at annual Validation Day.
Knowledge of surgical procedures and anticipation of surgeon needs.
Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding sterile field maintenance.
Knowledge of basic patient safety concepts and principles of asepsis.
Knowledge of OR emergency situations.
Good teamwork and patient‑centered care for high‑acuity patients.
On‑Call & Scheduling On‑call obligation for nights and weekends post‑orientation. Personnel may have flexible scheduling after orientation.
