A strategic leadership role responsible for driving Sanofi's global External Manufacturing & Services (EM&S) procurement strategy for Large Molecules, focusing on delivering enterprise-wide value through innovative sourcing strategies and strategic Contract Manufacturing Organizations/Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations partnerships. Responsible for an evolving spend of > $1B

Main Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

Drive global EM&S Growth Strategy implementation for Large Molecules in collaboration with Business and Procurement teams

Act as strategic partner for R&D centers in developing and executing Clinical CMO strategy worldwide

Lead Make vs. Buy decisions aligned with EM&S global strategy

Optimize global CMO/CDMO partnerships to maximize value creation and competitive advantage

Category Management & Innovation

Develop and execute global category strategies based on comprehensive market intelligence

Lead complex, high-value global sourcing initiatives and negotiations

Work closely with Business on managing global supplier relationship programs

Drive procurement excellence across Total Cost of Ownership, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, and Sustainability

Establish and manage competitive CMO & CDMO panel aligned with EM&S strategy

Team Leadership & Development

Build and lead a global high-performing team with strong business acumen

Champion transformation initiatives across the procurement organization

Foster innovation and continuous improvement within EM&S framework

Financial Management

Deliver world‑class savings objectives aligned with EM&S targets

Partner with Finance to develop robust tracking mechanisms for external spend

Contribute to global budget planning and long‑range strategic initiatives

About You Required Qualifications Education

Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field required, Master's degree in Business Administration preferred

Additional procurement certification preferred

Experience

15+ years of experience in senior management roles

Proven track record in global pharmaceutical/biotech procurement

Demonstrated success in global positions

Strong background in External Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
