Director of Operations Newport, KY | Full-time | In-office leadership role

Please note: We will only review candidates who complete all items listed in the “How to Apply” section.

Who You Are You are a calm, confident operator who can hold people accountable without drama. You see the whole system, not just the task in front of you. You are comfortable managing many moving parts at once and making order out of complexity.

You enjoy being a strong, visible leadership presence inside a fast-moving firm. You can make decisions, set expectations, follow up, and close loops. You are not afraid to say, “This is the plan,” and ensure it actually happens.

You are AI-fluent and systems-minded. You understand how tools, workflows, and automation support people, not replace them. You think strategically about how information flows, how work gets tracked, and how leadership gains visibility.

You are excited by the idea of working closely with a visionary, high-performing founder who has a lot of ideas and moves quickly — and you see your role as translating vision into clear systems, priorities, and execution.

Position Overview Emboss Design is a mission-driven architecture and interior design studio known for thoughtful, high-impact work across education, hospitality, housing, bourbon, and community projects.
