Volt is immediately hiring for a DevOps Software Engineer in Seattle, WA.
As a
DevOps Software Engineer
you will:
Design, implement, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to ensure consistent, repeatable releases.
Support secure and efficient release processes across environments.
Ensure infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and cost efficient.
Deploy and manage applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Implement cloud-native architectures and services to support modern applications.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: Required Skills & Qualifications
Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation
Advanced scripting abilities using Python and Bash/Shell
Proficiency with containers (Docker, Podman) and Kubernetes orchestration
Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks: Prometheus/Grafana, OTEL
Experience with configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack
Skilled in Git version control and workflows (GitHub, GitLab)
Experience securing infrastructure using Vault, Trivy, and CI/CD security scanning
Experience with artifact management (Artifactory, Docker Registry)
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills in cloud, container, and distributed system environments
Strong written/verbal communication and documentation capabilities
Demonstrated ability working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting production systems in a DevOps or cloud engineering role
Demonstrated expertise in IaC, automation, and cloud security
Experience with high-availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and cost optimization strategies
Exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments
Pay Rate:
$65-$80 per hour
