Director Process Engineering HF Sinclair is seeking a Director, Process Engineering & Technology in Dallas, TX who will oversee and manage the HF Sinclair Process Reliability Organization to ensure exceptional and sustainable Process Engineering and Technology Services for all of HF Sinclair Manufacturing. The role includes direct accountability of the Corporate Process Reliability Group, ownership of the Corporate Process Reliability OEMS element, and leadership of the Tech Manager Network.

Job Duties

Assure the functioning of the Tech Manager Network and process technology teams (Tech Teams).

Develop and execute systems and practices that foster long‑range development of process engineering competencies, tools, structure, and best practices company‑wide.

Oversee the development and ongoing quality of the company's Process Engineering functions.

Ensure all engineering activities comply with organizational standards.

Supervise key positions assigned to selected special operations teams focused primarily on Process Technology.

Participate in long‑range strategic planning and decision making related to HF Sinclair Manufacturing assets, identifying and developing options around significant refining threats and opportunities.

Support cross‑discipline or cross‑functional initiatives requiring process engineering expertise such as major capital, refinery routine capital, and commercial/operations projects.

Generate innovative ideas and approaches to improve profitability or create new commercial opportunities.

Evaluate new ideas and processes that enhance the company's profitability or competitive position.

Support the development and evaluation of major capital projects, considering long‑term economics and maximizing NPV contribution to HF Sinclair.

Experience Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least five (5) years in the refining industry.

Education Level Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical engineering field.

Preferred Education Master’s Degree in a science or engineering related field.

Required Skills Proven leadership ability; proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications; advanced time‑management, organizational, project planning, and management skills; demonstrated competency in executing multiple projects; advanced verbal and written communication, reading, and interpersonal skills; presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to communicate technical plans, strategies, and designs at all levels; ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations; proficiency in procurement, budgeting, and cost management; knowledge of refinery principles, safety practices, and regulatory compliance procedures.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility Manages/Supervises greater than three senior Process Engineer Technology Specialists.

Work Conditions Office and field‑based work with up to 30% travel; required occasional outdoor work subject to weather conditions.
