Job Summary ChemTreat’s Corporate Sales Opportunities are specific to water treatment and require an individual with experience calling on customers at a corporate level. Successful candidates must possess a strong understanding of chemicals and water treatment and be able to maintain existing customer accounts while generating new business to strengthen ChemTreat’s market position within key vertical industries.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Develop an action plan for each customer account through a deep working knowledge of the customer’s key business drivers and strategically sell the ChemTreat value proposition to expand revenue and profit.

Build and establish professional relationships with key personnel, decision makers, and influencers.

Craft a viable and profitable pricing structure in assigned customer accounts that increases sales and profit margin across geographies.

Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.

Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.

Work with the Vertical Director to support and expand ChemTreat’s presence in key industry and trade organizations.

Potentially mentor Associate Corporate Account Manager activities within assigned accounts.

Update Vertical Director and Marketing on key industry trends and competitive activity.

Build a cohesive team between Field Operations, technical services, and internal operating groups to ensure customer needs are met.

Responsible for learning the customer’s operations, understanding their challenges, and providing solutions that meet their needs.

Supplemental Responsibilities

Communicate the ChemTreat Value Proposition to all levels of the customer from the local level to the C‑Suite.

Construct and present effective proposals to prospects and customers.

Attract, interview, and screen new candidates at various levels.

Deliver industry‑specific training to ChemTreat associates and customers.

Sell, start up, and transition new business to the front‑line ChemTreat Field Sales and service team.

Provide customer & prospect entertainment in accordance with ChemTreat’s entertainment policy.

Troubleshoot technical and industry‑specific issues.

Effectively audit and communicate program results across multiple customer locations.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to identify critical issues and craft practical solutions that enable sustainable competitive advantage.

Excellent communication and presentation capability (emails, comprehensive service reports, proposals, etc.).

Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Industry knowledge specific to water treatment.

Business‑to‑Business sales experience, with demonstrated negotiation and account‑management skills.

Analytical skills; ability to compile and synthesize information required to document cost of ownership, KPIs, and account profitability.

Ability to lead through influence and collaborate with others to achieve a goal absent a direct reporting relationship.

Self‑motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.

5+ years of water treatment sales experience preferred.

Minimum 7‑9 years of successful sales experience in a B2B environment.

Proven track record of selling at least $1 MM in new business.

Travel expectations of 50‑75 %.

Proven track record of generated sales revenue in the water treatment industry with year‑over‑year increases.

Physical Demands

Travel dependent on size of assigned territory.

Must be able to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl as required.

Must be able to reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 lb and occasionally maneuver drums weighing 250‑800 lb.

Occasionally required to climb stairs, ladders, and work at high elevations for extended periods.

Occasionally required to drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations.

Must have adequate vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Working Conditions & Environment

Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries.

Occasional exposure to extreme heat conditions.

Required to use ear plugs for hearing protection.

Both indoor and outdoor sites may have high noise levels.

Site location may be at a boiler house or cooling tower, water plant, wastewater plant, or process area.

Use of hazardous chemicals is routine.

Travel and hotel accommodations are common.

At‑Will Statement Employment with ChemTreat is on an at‑will basis, which means that either the employee or ChemTreat can terminate the employment relationship at any time and for any reason (or no reason), with or without notice, unless the employee and ChemTreat have entered a written agreement signed by the employee and a duly authorized representative of ChemTreat.

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $170,000 – $200,000 per year (eligible for commission pay). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
